In a nutshell 

The Business Architect is responsible for designing future-proof solutions for internal customers taking strategic organizational goals into account. The architect is the linking pin between business and IT, as they will be translating Knab's long-term vision into domain target architectures and building the roadmap with relevant stakeholders.

The ideal applicant has a strong banking business knowledge combined with IT knowledge and is a subject-matter expert on banking processes in the context of a retail bank.

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate vision and strategy to stakeholders at various levels in the organization is key to being successful. As a Business Architect, you define the target architecture of one or multiple domains in alignment with the Enterprise Architect and the architecture team.

The Team 

In the architecture team consists of professionals with diverse profiles who are collaborating to cover the full range of the enterprise architecture. The team consists of architects with a business architecture background or an application architecture profile, reporting into the Enterprise Architect. This team is shaping the architecture function at Knab.

Your Profile: 

• MS degree in a relevant field (e.g., economics, computer science etc.) or at least 7-10 years of equivalent working experience.
• Holistic, big-picture, conceptual, and innovative thinking.
• 5+ years of relevant working experience in the financial services industry.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand the financial services capabilities and its link to the business processes, data, and applications.
• Experience with the accounts and payments domain in the context of a retail bank.
• Knowledge and experience with architecture frameworks and standards, e.g., Archimate, TOGAF.
• Effective communicator in Dutch and/or English.
• A strong collaborator with the ability to lead and motivate teams in both office and virtual environments.

Skills and knowledge we would love to see: 

• Strong in managing interpersonal relationships at multiple levels in the company.
• Leadership, ability to steer the organization towards a desired outcome.
• It would be great if you have knowledge of process architecture and/or experience with process optimization projects.
