You will be working on improving, monitoring, scaling and maintaining most of our applications. Together with the engineers in your team you keep our systems up-to-date and ensure Knab is in control. Additionally you will facilitate migration to the cloud of several solutions. 

Also analyzing and adequately following up on incidents and problems will be part of your job. You determine which solution (or path) we should take, and you find and implement the best solutions in consultation with our IT suppliers.  You will be working on optimising our Continuous Delivery Trajectory, including automating most of our installations. 

Team

You will be working in a team of skilled engineers. At Knab you will have the autonomy to pursue your own initiatives and responsibilities. The team consists of 4 colleagues. You report to the Manager Systems Engineers. 

Your profile

There is not a set route to become a great DevOps Engineer at Knab, but tobe successful in this role, this is the profile we have in mind:  

  • Multiple years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Technical Application Manager, with good knowledge of Amazon Web  Services, and an interest in software development (Python, C#, Powershell). 
  • At least 2 years of experience in CI/CD tooling (e.g. Jenkins, Octopus, Codepipeline, Bitbucket). 
  • Experience in Windows system administration. 
  • Strong affinity with cloud resources and containers (preferably AWS). 
  • Experience in migrating (Windows) backend/middleware systems to cloud. 
  • Experience with databases (SQL server) and knowledge of cloud DBaaS. 
  • Knowledge of these systems would be a plus: Swift, Automate, Apigee, Thaler, Reconart.
