In a nutshell

As Regulatory Officer you are part of Knab's  Regulatory Office. This department is responsible for the identification and first assessment of new laws and regulations which impact Knab. Therefore, Regulatory Office has a major role in the timely and adequate implementation of new regulatory requirements. You provide correct information about the impact, prioritization and interpretation of upcoming legislation.

Furthermore, you play an important role in monitoring regulatory implementations and evaluating the accuracy of these regulatory implementations.

On a daily basis;

  • You collect, filter and select relevant upcoming regulations with the help of tools and
    databases;
  • Analyze regulatory and legislative developments to produce high level impact analyses;
  • Create a forward-looking regulatory overview;
  • Maintain and monitor a database and implementation tracking tool with all
    identified regulatory topics and follow-up actions;
  • Monitor regulatory implementations from a regulatory risk perspective;
  • Prepare evaluation reports on the adequacy of regulatory implementations;
  • Implement regulatory process improvements.

 

The Team
Together with your colleague Raymond Durham,  you form the Regulatory Office team. You have a direct report to our Operational Risk Manager Martine van Oppenraaij .

 

Your Profile
There is no set route to become a great Regulatory officer at Knab. But to be successful in this role, your profile matches the following

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Financial Law, Law & Economics or Law with 7-10 years relevant work experience;
  • Knowledge of banking legislation is preferred;
  • Knowledge of digital transformation, RegTech, and process management is
    advantageous;
  • Analytical skills, accurate and disciplined;
  • The ability to initiate and complete work assignments effectively and in a timely
    manner;
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English language both written and verbally.
