Senior Data Scientist

In a nutshell
As a senior data scientist you are part of the analytical back-bone of Knab. You like to take on complex challenges and can convincingly explain your work to your colleagues. You are not afraid to get to the bottom of things, but recognize situations where a swift solution is the best answer. You get energized by the idea of improving our services to our customer for an optimal customer centric experience at one hand, and building towards a healthy profitable bank at the other hand.

Your main responsibilities:

• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to develop and improve both financial and non-financial models;
• Develop insightful metrics, dashboards and reports;
• Lead your stakeholders with data-driven analyses;
• Coach your junior team members;
• Actively share your knowledge to help us grow as a team;
• Take ownership of your personal development.

The Team
The Expert Center Data consist of ~25 professionals with a big heart for Data, covering domains data science, data engineering, data management & data governance. The department works for all parts of knab. The team consists of all communicative 'beta nerds' who get energized by complex data challenges. You will report to our manager of Data Science, while working closely with multiple stakeholders from various across Knab to help us achieve our common objectives.

Your Profile
There is no set route to become a great Senior Data Scientist at Knab. But to be successful in this role, this is the kind of profile we have in mind:

• Master degree in a quantitative field (i.e. Econometrics, Physics, Mathematics, Artificial intelligence, Business Analytics etc.);
• Minimal 5 years working experience, preferably in the financial services industry;
• Proactive, driven to achieve results and flexible;
• Can draw the bigger picture before sketching the detail;
• Connects various pieces of information to each other to arrive at a conclusion;
• Can bring across a message clearly and concisely;
• Is able to work under pressure in a focused and precise manner;
• Strong coding skills in Python or R;
• Experience with SQL.
