Relocating

What to expect when you come to the Netherlands?

Hell yeah, our country is ranked 11th on the global quality of life index. This is mainly due to our excellent public health service, high employment rates, good public safety and high life-satisfaction levels. The Dutch have a relatively laid back lifestyle: we love to go to cafés and when the sun shines everyone gathers together outside.

Your residence permit
Knab is a recognized sponsor by the IND, which means we can bring highly skilled migrants to the Netherlands. As soon as we have an offer for a cool job at Knab, we involve the EY Immigration office. They assist us with registering for a residence permit.

A huge advantage: 30% tax free income

Relocating Knab

The most common way to start working in the Netherlands is as a highly skilled migrant. As a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland, you can apply for the 30%-facility. When do you qualify?

  • You need a residence permit, for which a few general conditions apply.
  • You need a contract with Knab and you need to earn a sufficient income which is in accordance with market conditions.

We will submit the request for you if you meet the conditions. The Dutch tax authorities will then decide whether you are eligible or not.

Are you a Highly Skilled Migrant already working in the Netherlands? Then Knab will take over the sponsorship from your current employer.

When you arrive in the Netherlands, our Settle Service will be there to welcome you. The Settle Service will help you find a suitable place to live and guide you through the process of registering at the municipality for a social security number (BSN). We will also assist with getting the right insurances, opening a bank account and other practical things.

We have welcomed many international colleagues. One of them is André Carlucci, a Principal Software Engineer in our IT team.
