Senior HR Service Desk & Administration Specialist

Your Role: 

Recently, Knab has been acquired by our new parent company BAWAG. As part of this transition, we have now become our own employer, which allows us to manage everything in-house. This marks a new chapter for us, where we are creating and improving processes and expanding our capabilities by introducing new departments. In this role, together with another colleague working on HR support, you’ll ensure smooth administrative and payroll processes while delivering high-level HR support across Knab.  Additionally, you’ll oversee external suppliers to meet the quality standards, goals and performance of Knab and HR.   

 

Your main responsibilities: 

  • Workforce administration – Manage AFAS, drafting contracts and changes, internal moves and offboarding processes, lead and implement changes to workforce procedures.  
  • Payroll – Prepare finance reports, handle payroll administration, maintain direct communication with the finance team to monitor processes and manage approval workflows.  
  • HR Service Desk – Main point of contact for HR-related questions and facilitate HR communication, including updates, events, and changes. Maintain and improve the knowledge base on Confluence. Manage HR systems (AFAS, WeCare and 3SS) and ensure efficient operation. 
  • Vendor and Supplier Management – Oversee relationships with external parties, vendors, and suppliers. Negotiate contract renewals and manage quality service and KPI’s.  
  • System management – Identify and coordinate changes and improvements. Track incidents and be the first point of contact for employees. 
  • Operational management – Coaching junior team members, coordinate daily activities and set priorities. 

 

Your Profile:  

There is no predefined route to become a great Senior HR Service Desk & Administration Specialist at Knab. But to be successful in this role, this is the kind of profile we have in mind: 

  • Higher Professional Education (HBO), ideally in the direction of HR, management or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 4 years as relevant experience in HR and/or administrative context;
  • Experience working with AFAS and/or related systems; 
  • Track record in leading or coordinating (small) projects; 
  • Experience with working with vendors and external stakeholders; 
  • Strong in the following competencies: Communication, Persuasiveness, Networking, Analytical thinking and Independence;
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is a must.
