In a nutshell
As a Data Quality Officer you love to work with data and feel challenged improving its quality. You endorse the Data Quality by design principle as Data Quality is important for customer experience, decision making and regulatory compliance.  You will continuously improve data quality, in conjunction with the business areas, Data Stewards and Data Consumers.

Your main responsibilities:

• Contribute to further development and implementation of the bank-wide Data Quality policies, standards and processes;
• Ensuring the implementation of the data quality processes: defining critical data elements controls, quality targets, alert thresholds, data quality issues resolution;
• Report periodically on Data Quality status by means of the Data Quality Dashboard/Scorecard, highlighting key issues and progress of Data Quality initiatives;
• Identify and promote awareness and training initiatives in Data Quality Management  across Knab to increase the embedding of Data Quality in the day-to-day activities of the bank;
• Support the introduction of Data Quality monitoring tooling;
• Provide expertise to accelerate Data Quality Management adoption and maturity;
• Act as an ambassador and advisor for Data Quality and contribute to build a culture of continuous improvement of Data Quality in Knab.

The Team 
The Expert Center Data and Analytics  department consists of 30 data professionals with a big heart for the business value of Data, covering the following domains Data science, Data engineering, Data warehouse and Business Intelligence, Data architecture, Data governance and Data quality management. The department works with all functions of Knab and is Knab's Center of Excellence for 'all things data'. This function is part of the Enterprise Data Office team.

The Expert Center Data and Analytics plays a key role in managing Knab data as a strategic business asset and achieving a consistent and uniform view of information based on quality data.

You will report to our Chief Data and Analytics Officer, while working closely with multiple stakeholders from various teams across Knab to help us achieve our common objectives.

Your Profile
There is no predefined route to become a great Data Quality Officer at Knab. But to be successful in this role, this is the kind of profile we have in mind:

• Bachelor's/ Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Information Management, Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science);
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in key subject areas of Data Management including Data Quality Management;
• Proven experience in Data Quality Management: data quality controls, monitoring and reporting, data profiling, data quality issues management;
• Knowledge of Data Management frameworks (ex. DAMA -DMBOK, DCAM);
• Awareness of Data Quality Management related regulations (i.e BCBS 239);
• Effective communication: ability to explain to everyone, at every level in the organization what Data Quality means for them;
• Advanced influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills;
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills;
• Results oriented and analytical;
• Very good English language skills both written and verbal;
• Experience in financial services is a prerequisite.
