The Team
The Capital Management team within Knab is primarily responsible for ensuring that the amount of capital is sufficient at all times to allow Knab to implement its strategy. Our goal is to find the optimal allocation of capital, assets and liabilities which allows Knab to deliver on its strategic ambitions. As a capital manager you will get deep insight on managing all facets of a bank balance sheet and earnings. You will also have a role in using and developing the quantitative models underlying this. Capital management is a central role in the bank which means that you will cooperate closely with a variety of teams, ranging from credit and market risk management to business control and data analytics. Everyone within the Capital Management team gets the chance to be in the lead of a focus area for personal and professional growth.

The role
By working in our team you will be involved in the activities below.

• Updating and further improving our balance sheet and earnings forecast in collaboration with both business teams and technical specialists;
• Improving our models and tools for projecting and stress testing purposes;
• Reporting on a range of balance sheet metrics and explain developments to various stakeholders;
• Preparing various ad-hoc decision-making, policies and analyses for senior management;
• Ensuring the Asset Liability Committee is properly advised in regard to capital management; and
• Staying up-to-date with latest changes in regulations and markets related to capital management.

Your Profile
We are looking for a junior candidate which can fit in the profile below:

• Self-starter with the ability, agility and motivation for self-learning;
• Willingness to take ownership of their work;
• Good communication skills that allow to cooperate with both (senior) management and technical experts;
• Critical thinker with an ability to translate abstract problems into concrete solutions;
• Structured and neat way of working;
• Completed (or in the process of completing) a MSc. in (Quantitative) Finance, Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics, Technology, Engineering or similar academic programs with good grades;
• Prior working experience is a bonus, but it is your personality and skills that matter most to us; and
• Programming experience (R/SQL) is a bonus.
