Junior Information Security Officer

The Information Security Officer is responsible for the internal security of the bank, ensuring cyber-attacks are managed, helping avoid problems becoming incidences and advising our colleagues on the best way to keep our customers secure. We work closely with auditors and regulators, using regulatory and risk management frameworks. We are responsible for establishing security governance within the bank, be means of issuing security policies, standards, and guidelines.  

The Information Security Officer is part of the dedicated Information Security team and will get sufficient space and education to develop.

You will become one of the contacts within Knab to address all sorts of questions related to information security on which you advise, inspire and teach to enable colleagues getting things done in the right way.

You are on top of new developments regarding information security and related technologies proactively undertaking continuous learning and know how to be a BOFH. 

• Communication 
   
  Your communication is accurate, deeply connected and is relatable with all levels within Knab, ranging from general reporting and risk management with board members to providing technical solutions with DevOps teams. 
• Flexibility 
   
  Your style of work is flexible, you can present a security topic instantly to a large group of colleagues or lead an investigation at short notice and understand that security doesn't sleep or stop at 5pm. Helping your security colleagues is key to ensuring we maintain a close security team.

The security team at Knab is experienced, ambitious and deeply involved with all matters of security. Security matters to us but fun is important too. We like our jokes and security stories, while sharing new skills and educating ourselves.

Your Profile 

• Successfully completed studies, or a willing to complete such as study, in the IT field/comparable disciplines or other equivalent qualifications.
• Some knowledge in the field of information security.
• You are practical of nature, backed with an academic level of work.
• You feel comfortable working in a team and finding solutions in complex and demanding environments.
• You are a responsible and committed person who manages to keep track of things, even in stressful situations. 

Nice to have: 

• You have already gained some knowledge and or at least familiar with security industry standards like for example IEC/ISO 27001, PCI DSS or NIST Cyber Security Frameworks. 
• Knowledge in network and computer systems security ideally confirmed by an international certification in the field of information security, such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or are willing to complete such as course to pass the exams.  
• A basic understanding of security requirements engineering for products and solutions in the field of security.
