In a nutshell
As Enterprise Risk Manager you facilitate the implementation of the Knab ERM framework. You’ll be responsible for helping the Head of Enterprise Risk Management and the broader Risk & Compliance team in identifying, monitoring, managing and reporting on (emerging) risks. Part of the role will involve recovery/resolution planning activities and further integration of the ESG risk management practice.

The Team
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team within Knab consists of 3 dedicated risk specialists with a strategic and tactical “can do” mentality. The ERM team is responsible for the Enterprise Risk Management and Risk Appetite Framework. Therefore, we work close with other teams within the bank across all ValueStreams, Finance, and Financial and Operational risk teams.

The ERM team is a direct support to the CRO in the risk management activities for strategic risks that could affect Knab’s strategy, purpose, mission, values and mid- and long-term objectives. ERM supports in setting the risk management direction at Knab and advising the other Risk & Compliance 1st and 2nd line team members in their activities. Next to strategic risks, ERM is responsible for identification of emerging risks, recovery/resolution and organisational change affecting customers and employees, including sustainability risks.

In this role you have a direct report to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management.

Your Profile
There is no set route to become a great Enterprise Risk Manager at Knab. But to be successful in this role, this is the kind of profile we have in mind:

• An expert with 2-5 years’ experience of which several years in risk management;
• A strong understanding of risk management practices and techniques including experience in the development and implementation of risk policies and methodology;
• A plus: experience with ESG risk management and/or in resolution planning (incl. BRRD, NRA/SRB regulations);
• A plus: experience with data visualization and reporting.

Additionally, the ideal candidate has proven influencing and relationship management skills.
